Program Overview

With the evolution of lifestyles and eating habits in Algeria, and the health challenges, the field of intervention is expanding.

The goal of this training is to provide students with the latest scientific advances in nutrition and dietetics and to equip them with both theoretical and practical knowledge in this field. Upon completion of this program, students should be able to:

  • Assess the nutritional status of an individual or a population.
  • Organize nutrition education programs tailored to specific needs.
  • Conduct a dietary assessment using appropriate tools to propose and implement dietary care within patient follow-up.
  • Make nutritional diagnoses of metabolic disorders observed in certain pathologies.
  • Understand the recommendations for managing diseases related to nutrition, whether in excess or deficiency.
  • Prescribe a specific diet based on pathology and clinical context.
  • Promote a healthy diet combined with physical activity.
