1- Program Overview: General Program Description


The Bachelor's Degree Program in Philosophy at the University Center Nour Bachir in El Bayadh is designed to equip students with research and critical skills, expand their cognitive horizons, and connect philosophical thought to social issues. It is a multidisciplinary academic program that aims to develop students' knowledge and skills in various aspects of philosophical thought, by introducing them to all philosophical schools and various fields of human knowledge, including ontology, knowledge, and values, as well as focusing on epistemological studies and logic. The program is structured around a strong foundation in philosophical studies, integrating critical thinking, research methodologies, and practical applications in fields such as education and media.

This program also provides students with opportunities to pursue postgraduate studies (Master's degrees) within or outside Algeria. The LMD (Licence - Master's - Doctorate) system allows for student mobility and ensures the program's alignment with European academic standards, providing graduates with a competitive advantage in the global academic and professional environment.

3- Admission Information: Requirements and Procedures

• Eligibility Criteria: The program is open to students who have completed secondary education with a focus on arts, sciences, foreign languages, or equivalent. The minimum admission requirement is a baccalaureate degree in arts, sciences, foreign languages, or equivalent. Students are expected to have a good level of basic knowledge. • Admission Procedures: Students must apply through the Ministry of Higher Education's (Study in Algeria) platform and follow the registration procedures based on the admission requirements specified annually. The program is subject to a limited number of places (quota), and applicants are selected based on academic performance (baccalaureate results) and the availability of seats.
