Browse Programs Admission InformationThe training program in Sciences and Techniques of Physical Activities and Sports is an ideal university curriculum that enables its graduates to work in various sports professions.
Is achieved through a specialized academic path that integrates the study of biological and human sciences, focused on the human body, with physical and sports practices across
different disciplines and age groups.
The program spans three academic years (Bachelor’s level, +3 years after highschool). It allows graduates to acquire the necessary knowledge and specialized skills to work
comfortably in various sports institutions and structures.
The first-year curriculum in the STAPS program includes four major teaching areas divided into two semesters. These areas are organized into educational units as follows: Scientific Knowledge Covers biological and human sciences such as anatomy, general physiology, biochemistry, morphology, history, and philosophy of physical and sports activities, sports psychology, and sports sociology.
Practical Knowledge in Physical and Sports Activities focuses on the teaching and development of motor and sports skills in various disciplines such as gymnastics, team sports, athletics, and swimming. Theoretical Knowledge in Physical and Sports Activities, the methodologies and techniques of teaching and training in physical and sports activities.
Interdisciplinary Knowledge provides additional support in fields such as research methodology, descriptive statistics, computer science, and the English language.
Starting the second year (third semester), students are specialize in specific scientific and sports disciplines. Initially, students are oriented toward one of the five major branches recognized in the field, which are further divided into more focused specializations in the fifth and sixth semesters.
Access to the STPAS field of study is open to all holders of a high school diploma (Baccalauréat), regardless of the specialization.
New students can select the STPAS field when filling out their university orientation form.
