The University Centre of Maghnia

The University Centre of Maghnia is a thriving public institution of higher education, dedicated to advancing knowledge and fostering intellectual and professional growth. Established by Executive Decree No. 16-125 of April 11^th, 2016, the Centre operates as a scientific, cultural, and professional institution with full legal personality and financial autonomy.

Since its inception, the UCM has made significant strides in academic development and institutional growth. It proudly brings together five well-structured institutes, each offering high-quality programmes designed to meet national and international academic standards while responding to the needs of society and the labor market.

Our Institutes, Departments and Academic Programmes

1/ Institute of Human and Social Sciences 

This institute fosters critical thinking and social analysis through its Department of Social Sciences. It offers undergraduate BA and MA programmes in Sociology and Psychology.

2/ Institute of Economics, Business, and Management Sciences

This institute prepares future economists, managers, and entrepreneurs, offering BA & MA programmes in the branches of Economic Sciences, covering theory, policy, and analysis, and Management Sciences, focusing on leadership, organization, and strategic planning.

3/ Institute of Law and Political Science

Dedicated legal knowledge and education, this institute offers BA and MA programmes in Private Law, covering civil, commercial, and family law, and Public Law, focusing on constitutional, administrative, and international law. Students develop a strong legal foundation and engage in research and policy analysis.

4/ Institute of Letters and Languages

Dedicated to the study of both Arabic and English languages, this institute comprises two departments:

*Department of Arabic Language and Literature: Offers BA and MA programmes in the Arabic Language and Literature with tracks in Literary Studies, Critical Studies, and Language Studies.

*Department of English Language: Offers BA and MA programmes in the English Language with tracks and specializations in Literature and Civilisation, and Language Sciences at the master level.

5/ Institute of Science and Technology

This institute equips students with the technical skills needed for today’s industries and infrastructure projects. It offers programs in Hydraulics, Civil, Mechanical, and Telecommunications Engineering, each combining theory with practice. Students benefit from hands-on training, laboratory experience, and exposure to technological advancements.

3. Enrollment Capacity

Each program admits a limited number of students to ensure high-quality education. Currently, the enrollment capacity is 10 students per specialization.
