 First Step to Excellence in Food Science

The Higher School of Food Sciences and Agri-Food Industries of Algiers (ESSAIA) offers a preparatory cycle designed to lay the solid foundations for students' future careers in the exciting field of food sciences and agribusiness.


Reception of New Baccalaureate holders

Each year, the ESSAIA opens its doors to motivated new baccalaureate holders from the 58 wilayas of the country of the Experimental Sciences, Mathematics and Math-techniques who have obtained an average in the baccalaureate above the threshold xed annually by the Ministry of Higher Education and who wish to engage in an academic path of excellence.

The preparatory cycle is the first stage of the training, which prepares the student for the scientific and technical challenges of the agri-food sector.

Admissions Information

Structure of the Training

The preparatory cycle for the ESSAIA lasts two full years which must be validated before being able to participate in the competitive examination for access to the second cycle. This crucial period allows the student to acquire the fundamental knowledge necessary to pursue his or her specialized studies.


 

Teaching in English: To prepare students for international challenges and an international career in an ever-changing industry, the course is taught in English, strengthening their language proficiency and global outlook.
