Program Overview

The Doctor of Pharmacy degree program lasts 6 years for the Pharmacy and Industry tracks (Retail and Industrial Professions), and 10 years for postgraduate or residency tracks (Hospital Professions and Higher Education).

Admission Requirements:

Baccalaureate degree with honors.

Career Prospects:

As a self-employed professional:

• In a pharmacy: dispensing medication and providing patient counseling.

• In a medical testing laboratory (subject to completing the medical biology residency track in Pharmacy).

As a salaried employee:

• In the pharmaceutical or biomedical industry, in research, development, production, quality assurance, marketing, regulatory affairs, health economics, etc.

• In various industries: cosmetics, food industry.

• In a pharmacy or a medical testing laboratory.

• In wholesale distribution companies.

• In hospitals, as a hospital practitioner specialized in hospital pharmacy or medical biology (subject to completing the corresponding residency track).

• In government bodies under the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Defense, Social Security, or Ministry of Environment (e.g., water quality control).

• At the university level, in teaching and research.

Admissions Information

Years 1 to 5:

• Admission to the next academic year requires an annual average of at least 10/20, with no failing grades (below 5/20) in any module.

6th Year:

• Successful completion of all scheduled internships.

• Oral defense of the final dissertation evaluated by a jury.

Upon successful defense, the student is awarded the Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
