Program Overview

The Master's in Arabic Language and Quranic Studies is an academic specialization that focuses on two complementary fields of knowledge: the Arabic language in all its sciences and arts, and Quranic studies in all their disciplines and domains. What fundamentally distinguishes this program from other literary or religious specializations is its integration of Arabic language and the Qur’an. It does not cover the Arabic language in its entirety, but rather studies it specifically within the framework of the Holy Qur’an.

The training guides the student through three major stages:

·    Bachelor’s level, where the student acquires foundational knowledge that enables access to and familiarity with this specialization (particularly in religious and linguistic sciences);

·      Master’s level, where the student deepens their expertise in linguistic and Quranic studies (including the expressiveness and eloquence of the Qur’an, the miraculous nature of the text, the variant readings, the script, orthography, and history of the muṣḥaf, etc.);

·      Doctorate level, which opens up new horizons for research, analysis, and exploration of contemporary advances in the field, enabling the student to contribute original scholarship through a specialized doctoral dissertation.
