Speciality description :
This program provides a solid and versatile education built around a foundation of fundamental, methodological and cross-disciplinary knowledge and discoveries such as Operations Research, Computer Science, Probability and Statistics and Management. In this course, students will be introduced to certain advanced concepts and high-performance methods (exact or approximate) for modelling and optimizing a decision problem (static or dynamic, single or multi-criteria, discrete or continuous).
The complexity of decision problems is increasing all the time, making it essential to improve existing methods of solving them or to discover new ones. This course therefore aims to provide skills in advanced algorithmic techniques for (multi-criteria) decision support (modelling, optimization and resolution), as well as cutting-edge methodologies and technologies from software engineering, large-scale data processing and information systems.
On completion of this course, students will be able to :
· undertake doctoral studies to become a teacher or researcher in an institution;
· tackle complex problems in the socio-technical and economic sectors;
· shed light on the questions posed by a stakeholder (an individual, a group of people, a representative body) in a decision-making process, using tools and optimization methods.
These objectives take into account the current realities and future forecasts of the employment market.
