Speciality description:
The aim of the ‘Stochastic Modelling and Forecasting in Operations Research’ Masters program is to equip students to work in operations research using stochastic theories and methods to solve the various problems encountered in different user sectors where uncertainty reigns. All rational planning for decision-making requires the integration of randomness, which is essential in almost all areas of human knowledge, i.e., the economic, industrial, environmental, biomedical and agronomic worlds, etc. The aim is to train specialists with both a theoretical and methodological background in mathematics and statistics, so that they are able to come up with innovative solutions to the problems imposed by the current reality of the market, but also so that they can eventually embark on the process of fundamental research. Indeed, the invention and development of new products and new production processes in the country's development sectors can only be achieved through the development of their scientific research. This masters program offers through its themes, this course aims to make a modest contribution to their country's development process and to the positioning of its skills on the international stage.
