The specialized or in-depth modules of the program include Food Microbiology, Clinical Microbiology, Quality Assurance and Microbiological Control of Health Products and Food, Practical Training in Microbiology and Quality Control, and Environment and Health.

Complementary modules (Toxicology and Pharmacology, Instrumental Analysis and Investigation, Hygiene and Safety in Laboratories) aid in understanding and applying new technologies. Communication skills training is based on scientific English, legislation and standardization. Have adequately completed the L3 coursework (third-year undergraduate units) with topics relevant to the program.
