Understanding of the integrated functioning of life at the levels of control, diagnosis, characterization of pathogenic germs, and their antibiotic resistance.
An analysis in the pharmaceutical field to control medicines, water, and supervision in local communities at the level of hygiene and safety services.
The fundamental modules included in the program are Microorganisms of Industrial Interest, Microbial Physiology and Metabolism, Fundamental and Applied Virology, and Biochemical and Molecular Microbiology Tools.
The specialized or in-depth modules of the program include Food Microbiology, Clinical Microbiology, Quality Assurance and Microbiological Control of Health Products and Food, Practical Training in Microbiology and Quality Control, and Environment and Health.
Complementary modules (Toxicology and Pharmacology, Instrumental Analysis and Investigation, Hygiene and Safety in Laboratories) aid in understanding and applying new technologies. Communication skills training is based on scientific English, legislation and standardization. The program also aims to familiarize students with the concepts of ethics in experimental research and related legislative texts.

Hold a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Microbiology.
Have a strong foundation in the fundamental modules of the specialty: General Microbiology, Systematics of Prokaryotes, Molecular Biology and Genetic Engineering, Food Microbiology, and Industrial Microbiology. Have adequately completed the L3 coursework (third-year undergraduate units) with topics relevant to the program.
