Program Overview

The Master’s program in Corporate Finance aims to deepen the knowledge acquired by students during their undergraduate studies, enabling a more advanced exploration of the methods and techniques used in managing financial operations (within companies, banks, and financial markets, in accordance with the curriculum defined for this specialization).


The program’s objectives are to train students specialized in the analysis and evaluation of financial activities, enabling them to pursue academic studies or enhance their professional careers if they choose to enter the job market, through:

  1. Enhancing students’ performance by providing theoretical and practical skills used in corporate finance.
  2. Training students to specialize in financial functions within companies, banks, financial institutions, and financial markets (the financial system).
  3. Developing students’ ability to make decisions in management, planning, financial forecasting, selecting and managing funding sources, and mastering necessary quantitative techniques.
  4. Equipping students with proficiency in modern financing techniques, particularly those related to market analysis and the evaluation of financial products.
  5. Building students’ capacity to take on financial roles such as portfolio management, financial risk management, banking operations, and mergers and acquisitions.
  6. Strengthening students’ ability to create, finance, and manage projects.
  7. Providing essential research tools to conduct studies and investigations in fields related to the specialization.

Curriculum Highlights

Core Courses

The core modules of the Corporate Finance specialization are distributed over four semesters:

  1. Semester 1: Includes courses such as Advanced Financial Management, Portfolio Management, Corporate Financial Policies, and Islamic Finance. Each course typically involves one and a half hours per week of lectures and practical sessions.
  2. Semester 2: Includes courses such as Business Valuation, Financial Engineering, Advanced Management Control, and Advanced Corporate Taxation, with the same weekly hours and credits.
  3. Semester 3: Focuses on Financial Strategy, Financial Risk Management, and Financial Technology. All courses are delivered in person, with assessment based on 40% continuous evaluation and 60% final exam.
  4. Semester 4: Dedicated to field research and the preparation of the final dissertation.

  1. Corporate Financial Policies: Covering financing and investment policies, profit distribution, and capital restructuring.
  2. Strategic Financial Planning and Forecasting: Developing long-term financial strategies and financial estimates.
  3. Financial Laws and Regulations: Focusing on business law, financial regulations, and bankruptcy law.
  4. Advanced Financial Audit and Management Control: Emphasizing in-depth audit practices and advanced management control.


Admissions Information

The Master’s program primarily targets students with a bachelor’s degree in the same or related fields. Students from similar backgrounds in finance, accounting, or financial technology may also be admitted, provided their prior education meets the program’s requirements. External candidates with equivalent qualifications may be considered after an evaluation of their academic background.
