-To highlight the historical and civilizational dimensions of the national memory across different eras.
-To restore value to historical periods or events that were previously neglected, particularly those of a civilizational nature or those omitted due to selective use of history.
- To deepen scientific research on the subject of national memory in order to showcase civilizational achievements, preserve historical heritage, and extract the human values embedded in Algerian civilizational contributions throughout the ages.
-To document the history of Algeria based on sound academic and scientific foundations, and to ensure its transmission to future generations, as well as its dissemination in various languages.
-To build a continuous and coherent national memory grounded in solid academic and scientific principles.
-To address the heavy and complex legacy of colonialism with accuracy and objectivity, with the aim of proving and exposing the facts and crimes of French colonialism committed against the Algerian people — whose historical roots go back to prehistoric times — and to confront the narratives promoted by advocates of neo-colonialism who seek to glorify the so-called “positive aspects” of colonialism.
