General Objectives of the Project

The Doctoraet program in Psycho-Criminology aims to deepen academic and practical knowledge in criminal psychology, victimology, and criminological phenomena, while developing clinical skills to understand and treat psychopathological disorders related to crime and victimization.

This program also seeks to:

· Train participants in psychological assessment and diagnostic techniques, using both projective and objective methods adapted to the sociocultural context of subjects.

· Raise awareness of personal determinants that may trigger psychological disorders.

· Train researchers and practicing psychologists in psychological intervention and offender rehabilitation.

· Enhance skills in criminal profiling and forensic analysis, including emerging crimes (cybercrime, terrorism, drug trafficking, organized crime).

· Incorporate the latest scientific approaches in criminology.

Scientific and Research Objectives

1. Analyze criminal behavior from a psychological perspective, as a phenomenon threatening human life and society, while studying social reactions to it.

2. Encourage researchers to study criminal phenomena internationally and interpret them through fundamental theories of criminal behavior and deviance.

3. Prepare qualified researchers capable of conducting high-level academic work.

4. Train specialists who can integrate into research teams or specialized laboratories.

5. Develop multidimensional teaching competence, enabling doctoral candidates to supervise undergraduate and master’s students and manage research labs.

6. Ensure excellence to allow graduates to oversee academic research and contribute to future researcher training.
