Program Overview

The audiovisualspecialization program at the Faculty of Information Sciences, Communication, and AudiovisualStudiesaims to train graduates capable of working in the dynamic and interactive world of audiovisual media, in light of new media and communication technologies.

The academic team overseeingthisspecializationseeks to support transformations and contribute to shapingAlgeria’saudiovisuallandscape. It alsoaims to train researchers capable of understandingthese transformations through the theoretical, methodological, and scientificknowledgetheyacquire, enablingthem to engage with and comprehend the new reality of audiovisual media. Additionally, the program strives to equip media institutions withspecializedhumanresources on one hand, andexpandresearchfields in media and communication sciences on the other, as drivers of development and innovation.

The program also trains students in audiovisual production techniques, includingdirecting, editing, and soundrecording. It combines theoreticalcoursework in media and communication with intensive practical training. Studentslearn to master modern digital tools and post-production software. The curriculum preparesgraduates for careers in television, film, and digital media, emphasizingcreativity, innovation, and understandingcontemporary media challenges.

  1. Admission isbased on the evaluation of applications fromstudents holding an LMD (Bachelor’s) degree in Information and Communication Sciences, withprioritygiven to the Information specialization.
