Curriculum Highlights

Core Courses

The training program is structured over a three-year period, extendable by two additional years.
To equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge for scientific research and teaching, they will study, in addition to their specialty subjects, complementary subjects related to didactics, philosophy, English language, information and communication technologies, programming, and artificial intelligence.
During their studies, students prepare a research thesis and publish their findings through national and international conferences as well as peer-reviewed scientific journals.
Students may also undertake teaching internships at one of the institutes of the Maghnia University Center.
The program culminates in the defense of the research thesis before a specialized committee composed of professors from various Algerian and international universities.

Advanced Topics – First Year of the Doctoral Path

To provide students with the necessary competencies and knowledge for their scientific research and teaching responsibilities, they will take specialized courses as well as complementary modules on:
Didactics: to deepen university-level teaching strategies.
Philosophy: to develop critical and analytical thinking.
English Language: to enhance academic and linguistic proficiency.
Information and Communication Technologies: to integrate digital tools into research and teaching.
Programming: to acquire skills in data analysis and digital development.
Artificial Intelligence: to explore modern applications in education and research.
This program aims to train researchers capable of deeply analyzing English literary and cultural currents while developing a critical and comparative approach to works and the historical contexts that shape them. It prepares experts in literary and cultural studies, enabling them to contribute to intellectual discourse and enhance the understanding of cultural dynamics on a global scale.


Admissions Information

To enroll in the doctoral program, students must hold a Master's degree or an equivalent diploma and demonstrate strong analytical skills along with a distinguished academic level.
