PhD in Biological Sciences

The PhD program in Biological Sciences at the University of Biskra is a rigorous research-based doctoral training structured over six semesters (three years, extendable). It aims to produce high-level researchers in applied microbiology, biodiversity, and bioresource valorization. The first year consists of advanced coursework and skill reinforcement (in biotechnology, statistics, pedagogy, and scientific English), followed by two years of original research in accredited laboratories. The program is supported by high-end equipment, research partnerships, and national R&D strategies.
