Core Courses
Program Objectives
The objectives of this program are to complement general geological education by offering high-quality instruction in the fields of magmatology, geochemistry, and geodynamics, which may lead to doctoral studies.
The aim is to provide a comprehensive high-level education that will allow students to acquire solid knowledge in magmatology (from magma genesis to emplacement), geochemistry, and geodynamics, involving major phenomena of material and energy transfer, as well as mastering tools such as analytical techniques, remote sensing, and imaging.

Advanced Topics
Targeted Career Profiles and Skills
This program enables students to acquire and deepen their knowledge in magmatology, geochemistry, geodynamics, and lithospheric transfers. It also provides them with the methods, techniques, and expertise needed for research. Graduates will be well-positioned to pursue doctoral studies, either at the University of Oran or at other universities in Algeria or Europe.
Regional and National Employment Opportunities for Graduates
The main career path is in teaching and research at universities, but also in fields where geology is essential for the sustainable exploitation of subsurface resources, such as exploration and inventory of mineral resources (ORGM, ANGCM, consulting firms, etc.).
