Program Overview

This course aims to develop students' ability to communicate effectively in Italian, in both academic and professional environments. It aims not only to create/develop/reinforce their fundamental skills in general Italian, but also to introduce them to modern methods of academic research, as well as to the types of discourse, genres and practices specific to the teaching and learning of this language. In addition, participants will acquire the theoretical tools, critical perspectives and pedagogical approaches needed to meet the challenges of teaching and learning Italian as a foreign language (in a variety of contexts). The ultimate aim of this training program is to train competent teachers and young researchers, capable of creating innovative didactic tools and solutions for the teaching/learning of Italian.
