Program Overview

The mismatch between the various socio-economic functions has resulted in a lack of harmony and rationality in the use of urban space, the excessive density of which has disrupted social life and created practical management difficulties for public authorities.

Furthermore, buildings constructed without adhering to the most basic rules of architecture, urban planning, and the overall harmony of different neighborhoods have created situations that are often irreversible from the perspective of rational urban development. These situations are characterized by the rapid transformation of urban society, the continued proliferation of human settlements, uncontrolled land use, rapid population growth, the proliferation of illegal housing, the deterioration of the living environment, environmental problems, etc.

The general objective of the new training is to:

o Better adapt training to the continual evolution of urban technologies. o Greater student accountability should be fostered through personal research, prospecting, analysis, criticism, and innovation, as these activities cannot be limited to a workshop or lecture hall.

The evolving needs of the national and regional socioeconomic context necessitate a response.

The teaching of urban technology management is being adapted through two specializations: "Urban Engineering" and "City Management."

The core curriculum consists of two semesters corresponding to the first year of undergraduate studies. It provides the opportunity to pursue two bachelor's degrees in the Urban Technology Management program. The core curriculum provides a foundation for the bachelor's degree programs.

This program is:

1. An upgrade for new enrollees, preparing them to continue their studies in the proposed bachelor's degrees;

2. An introduction to undergraduate programs.
