Program Overview

Forests fulfill vital functions for humanity and the environment. Their sustainable management is crucial, as they support the local economy in many countries and provide essential resources such as timber, which is used in construction and the paper industry. In the face of global challenges like climate change, modern forestry requires advanced management skills, especially to protect sensitive species.

The Forest Management specialization aims to train forest engineers capable of planning, developing, conserving, and sustainably managing forest resources. This program combines theory and practice, integrates the latest technologies (remote sensing, GIS, and monitoring), and prepares students to become managers, researchers, or decision-makers.

It also provides students with the foundational knowledge to design conservation policies, reforestation projects, and strategies for adapting to climate change β€” and prepares them for potential doctoral studies.
