Program Overview

The teaching of Veterinary Medicine aims to train veterinary surgeons to look after the health of animals, as well as its implications for the environment and human health. In addition to keeping animals in good health and in the best possible conditions (animal welfare) to fulfill their functions of production, reproduction, companionship and maintenance of the ecosystem, the role of the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine is primordial with regard to human health, both to control diseases transmissible to man directly or indirectly from animals (zoonoses). Similarly, he or she is called upon to play his or her part in ensuring the inspection and hygiene of foodstuffs of animal origin to guarantee a healthy human diet. Consequently, the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine has been and remains the key player in safeguarding human and animal health.

Hence a program that reflects the importance of this training and includes theoretical and practical teaching in line with international standards.
