Study of the functional role of microorganisms in various fields such as ecology, food, health, and industry, with particular attention focused on methods of control, prevention, and combating harmful microorganisms as well as the potential applications of beneficial ones.
Beneficial and harmful interactions between microorganisms and their hosts, as well as with their ecosystems, including water and aquatic environments, soil, and digestive ecosystems: biological and ecological effects.
Food safety, quality, and the role of microbial fermentation processes.
Industrial fermentation: principles and operational practices.
Biotechnological potential of microorganisms.
This academic pathway provides theoretical and practical training in analysis techniques and methods, enabling students to handle and interpret experimental data in a variety of contexts: research, microbiological control, diagnostics or industrial innovation (health, environment and agri-food).
This training program is open to students who have completed a second year of a Bachelor's degree in biological sciences (baccalaureate + 2) or an equivalent qualification.
This training profile requires basic prerequisites in chemistry, biochemistry, genetics, cell biology and general microbiology.
Admission is based on average class rank.
