Program Overview

The Bachelor's degree in Animal Production is part of the Agronomic Sciences stream, in the Natural and Life Sciences field. It begins after a year of study in the common core curriculum (1st year), with the student able to choose (depending on his or her grade average and choice) the Agronomic Sciences stream in 2nd year, before opting for the Animal Production specialization in 3rd year. This training enables graduating students to gain a better grasp of animal production issues, in addition to mastering livestock breeding, particularly in steppe areas. It also gives them access to a range of local and national Masters programs.


This training is provided at Batna1 University, in accordance with the content of decree N°728 of May 14, 2019.

Admissions Information

Admission requirements

A baccalaureate recognized as equivalent to the Algerian baccalaureate, in accordance with the admission requirements set out in the ministerial circular (MESRS) for the registration of new baccalaureate holders.
