The objective of this program is to develop competencies related to the design and implementation of surveys, data collection and management, selection and application of appropriate statistical methods, as well as synthesis and presentation of results in a format accessible to decision-makers.
By the end of the program, the graduate in biostatistics will be able to:
· Translate a general problem into statistical terms and implement appropriate methods with or without the use of software;
· Select a representative sample of the population and implement a study protocol;
· Organize and manage data within a database system;
· Use statistical software such as SPSS, Excel, R, and GIS;
· Draft and format statistical reports;
· Communicate results effectively and present them in an accessible way to decision-makers.

· Propose the most suitable statistical model for a given clinical or research problem;
· Interpret and exploit statistical results from clinical studies;
· Communicate, read, and write scientific documents, reports, and technical notes (in Arabic, French, and English);
· Work effectively within multidisciplinary and potentially international teams;
· Negotiate deadlines and resources with subcontractors and/or suppliers;
· Optimize work organization, processes, and resource allocation; plan and evaluate results;
· Use specialized statistical software proficiently.

Admission Requirements
· Holders of a Bachelor's degree in any field within the Natural and Life Sciences domain.
· Holders of a Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry within the Chemistry stream of the Material Sciences domain.
· Graduates of Medical Sciences (Human Medicine, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine).
