General Summary of the Program’s Objectives:

This bachelor's program in "Human and Social Sciences", major "Social Sciences – Philosophy", specialization "General Philosophy", aims to train students with a solid philosophical foundation and strong analytical skills, enabling them to engage with the intellectual heritage of humanity and address contemporary issues with critical and rational thinking.

1. Cognitive (Theoretical) Objectives:

  • Provide in-depth knowledge of the history of philosophy from Antiquity to contemporary thought, in both Eastern and Western traditions.
  • Deepen understanding of philosophical domains and currents (metaphysics, ethics, politics, logic...).
  • Introduce various approaches to understanding human beings, society, and history.

2. Methodological Objectives:

  • Train students in the techniques of philosophical research (essay writing, analysis, critique, translation, oral presentation...).
  • Develop precision in the use of philosophical concepts to interpret texts and address philosophical questions.
  • Foster the ability to construct coherent and well-argued reasoning.
