Program Overview

The objective of the Master's degree in Applied Mathematics is to provide students with a rich grounding in areas of mathematics that are the subject of active research. Students will then be able to prepare for competitive recruitment exams in mathematics, pursue a career in industry, or prepare a thesis in pure or applied mathematics.

The first year of this Master's degree (Master 1) aims to familiarize students with general mathematical tools; all students must complete all semesters 1 and 2. The second year of the Master's degree (Master 2) allows students to acquire in-depth training in the fields of analysis, probability, and statistics. In semester 4, they will prepare a dissertation, which will culminate in a defense.

The program provides students with a sufficient level of knowledge and experience in mathematics to, for example, have a good chance of success in competitive recruitment exams or begin a doctoral thesis.

Advanced Topics

It also provides those who wish to access developing research topics and specialists in these subjects, who will guide them in choosing a thesis.
